Product Overview

The threaded flange screws onto the pipe, so no welding is involved at all. That makes it the type of choice in places where hot work is prohibited or impractical, and where a flange must be removed and refitted during maintenance.

When to Specify Threaded

Choose TH where welding cannot be carried out - explosion-hazard or confined areas, hot-work-restricted plants, and maintenance spares that must be fitted on site without a welder. Note that a threaded joint is not recommended for severe cyclic service; consult us on the sealant and thread specification.

Specifications and Standards

Threaded flanges within our 1/2-24 inch flange range, to ASME B16.5 and its EN / GB / JIS equivalents; Class 150 and 300 stocked, 600-2500 on request. The bore is threaded to NPT or BSPT as ordered, with a raised face as standard. Because nothing is welded, this type is specified where hot work is not permitted - confirm the thread standard and the sealant you intend to use. Materials ASTM A182 F304/304L, F316/316L, F321, duplex F51/F53 and nickel alloys.
