Automatic Cable Take-Up
The JT series uses a snail spring as the drive, so the drum rolls and releases the cable automatically. It needs no electrical power to operate the reel itself, which simplifies installation and removes the control gear a motorised reel requires.
Power Across the Rotating Joint
A sliding ring with a carbon brush frame carries the electrical supply to the rotating drum, keeping power continuous and smooth as the cable pays out and retracts. A reversible mechanism allows rotation in both directions.
Where It Is Used
Machine tools, workshop equipment, industrial doors and lifting equipment - duties where a fixed length of cable has to extend and retract repeatedly and reliably.
Selection Notes
Confirm the cable type and diameter, the extended length, the number of circuits and the mounting orientation. The spring and drum are sized to the cable length and weight.
