Product Overview

Aluminium alloys and carbon fibre dominate general robotics, but precision seamless steel tubes win in the specialised scenarios where extreme load capacity, environmental resilience or rapid and cost-effective prototyping decide the project. This range covers robot arm joints, exoskeletons and humanoid robot frameworks, combining high rigidity with the weldability and machinability that let engineers modify a structure on site instead of re-ordering a custom extrusion.

Specifications and Standards

Cold drawn precision seamless tube to ASTM and EN material standards. Alloy steel grades carry the load-critical structures; 316L stainless steel is supplied for radiation and chemically aggressive environments. Tubes are easy to machine and weld, supporting both one-off prototypes and production series.

Applications

Heavy-duty automation - a custom robot lifting and assembling five-tonne marine engine components in a shipyard, where steel tube is a rugged and cost-effective alternative to custom aluminium and can be welded on site to suit changing payloads and harsh conditions. Nuclear plant inspection robots in high-radiation containment, where 316L resists radiation embrittlement that degrades other materials. University laboratories and startup R&D building AI robotics testbeds and educational platforms, where tube is readily available, easy to machine and low cost.
