Product Overview

Precision cold drawn tubes for gas spring bodies and struts, in four families matched to load and environment. SAE 1020 low carbon is weldable with stable size and cost-effective for high-frequency processing - furniture, medical devices, car tailgates and small toolbox struts. S355JR and A572 Gr50 raise tensile strength with excellent fatigue and impact resistance for car hoods, agricultural machinery, RV supports and general gas springs. Reinforced-wall 35 and 38 mm handle heavy loads and fatigue in harsh outdoor service, and C45 / 42CrMo4 alloy covers extreme damping duty.

Specifications and Standards

Sizes run from 22x1.5 mm to 42x2.5 mm (OD x wall). Thin-wall cold drawing holds wall deviation within ±0.05 mm with an inner finish of Ra within 1.6 um, so sealing is reliable and operation smooth - reducing leakage and extending service life. Production is to ISO 9001 and ASTM / EN material standards.

Applications

Automotive trunk and hood support systems from sedans to SUVs, with gas spring force ratings from 300 N to 1,200 N and positive prevention of accidental slam-shut; cabinet lift-doors and hospital beds requiring silent, stable adjustment; RV hatches, storage covers and industrial machinery access panels that must withstand repeated industrial cycles.
