Why a Cutting Impeller
Sanitary wastewater carries wipes, fibre and string that wrap around a standard impeller and eventually block the pump. A cutting pump shreds those solids as they enter, so the impeller keeps running instead of tripping on overload.
Our cutting range runs 0.75-7.5 kW with an IP68 sealed motor and class F insulation, sized for basement lifting, building drainage and plant effluent where blockage risk is the deciding factor.
Where It Fits Best
Choose a cutting pump where the stream is domestic or light-industrial wastewater with fibrous content: building and hospital sewage, restaurant and hotel effluent, and small plant drainage. For raw abrasive slurry, a standard sewage or slurry pump with an abrasion-resistant impeller is the better match.
Installation Notes
Cutting pumps are usually installed on a guide rail or feet in the wet well, with a non-return valve on the discharge to stop backflow between cycles. Confirm the required head, the discharge diameter and the control method before ordering.
