Transmitting Power to a Rotating Machine
A central current collector - also known as a centralised electrical ring - carries electrical power and signals from a stationary supply to equipment that rotates continuously. Because the transfer is continuous through the ring and brush assembly, the machine can turn without a trailing cable.
Where It Is Used
Widely used on rotary equipment: cranes and slewing machinery, cable and hose reels, rotating platforms, mixers and industrial processing equipment. It is part of our electronic product line and is often supplied with our cable reels on the same project.
Selection Notes
Confirm the number of power and signal circuits, the voltage and current per circuit, the rotation speed and the environmental rating required. The ring is selected to the machine's circuit count and duty.
Send your circuit count, voltage, current and rotation requirement to our engineering team for a confirmed selection.
